FAMILY

Family is who we are, what we do, how we do it and what we are all about. Our call began with a simple yet profound two word statement: “Model Family!”… and, we said “Yes!”. Here’s the story of this church family, how we began and where we are heading.

Spring 2010: The Beginning

We felt that God was directing us to “Model family” by creating a safe, nurturing environment where people would be able to encounter the transforming love of God in an atmosphere of worship. We were also challenged to invest time in creating authentic relationships with one another.

We were encouraged to “Join the Dots” by connecting and partnering with others who would share the same heart to see transformation in our community. We are passionate about working with and supporting other Churches and ministries whenever we can.

MAY 2010: FIRST LOCATION

In May 2010, God provided a place for us to gather in St Vincent’s Primary School In East Kilbride. This became our home for seven years. It was here that we grew in number, vision, and passion.

Due to its location, God commissioned us to “Love Lindsayfield” which became a major focus for us as a church family. We began many initiatives and formed partnerships to love the community around us that God so loved from the beginning of all time.

DECEMBER 2016: THE UNKNOWN

In 2016, we were given several words from the Lord which were preparing us to get ready for a move. In December, we sensed God was asking us to leave the school.

At that point he had given us no indication of where we would meet in the New Year. This was a challenging time for us as a church family but the Lord is faithful and we learned much in the transition period.

JANUARY 2017: THE ANSWER

Church@Crutherland

In January 2017, God provided us with a beautiful suite in the Crutherland Hotel. The new gathering place was a massive blessing to us in so many ways and although the location was a bit out of the way, God gave us a word, “I am taking you out to bring you in”.

We held onto that word. In the summer of 2018 the hotel could no longer accommodate us. We found ourselves on the move again.

JUNE 2018: ON THE MOVE, AGAIN!

In June 2018, God led us back into the community where we were offered space in Greenhills Community Hall. This is our current home. This facility has provided us with a gathering place and also opportunities to strengthen existing links with Greenhills community via Food Bank and Pit Stop.

Our church family has changed in size and location over the years but the vision has remained the same, To See Lives Transformed Through God’s Love and Power”.

2020 AND BEYOND: WHAT LIES AHEAD?

We are trusting in God for provision for a more permanent building which will further support our outreach in the community. In the meantime we will continue to work in partnership with others to do all that we can to demonstrate the love of God to our neighbours.
